Vicky Doherty
I moved into Braintree Foyer in May 2007 because my relationship with my parents had broken down.
When I moved in, I was noisy, rude and rebellious and many complaints were made about my behaviour and the behaviour of my visitors. I have come across many hard challenges and have felt emotionally exhausted at times and felt as though I might give up, but with the support of my friends, family and the staff at the foyer, I now value the things that I used to take for granted and my relationship with my parents has been rebuilt better than it was before. I feel that I have grown up into a responsible young adult and even though I have many more things to learn, being here at the foyer has prepared me well for the future.
So I would like to thank everyone at the foyer for all their help and support.
