Mark Johnson
Mark finds new direction through the Braintree Foyer.
I came to the Foyer because of my family problems that I had. My Mum was a little bit argumentative and couldn’t communicate with any of us properly. She booted me out four days before Christmas (and this I will never forget). I had to sleep rough for about a month until the Foyer could offer me a place.
The Foyer has helped me a great deal. I get on with my family now better than ever before. I have also gained quite a bit of knowledge since being here, through courses and training that they provide.
In the future I hope to achieve a job in labouring or anything manual. I hope to have a council house so I can support my girlfriend and her little girl and the little one we have on the way. All I can do at the moment though is focus on that and hope I can achieve it soon.
