SAHA highlighting issues at the House of Commons
As part of SAHA's Golden Jubilee activities we are pleased to be hosting an event at the House of Commons on 14 October 2009 to raise current key issues affecting homelessness and related support services.
Residents, staff, members and invited guests will be speaking and presenting to MP's about three current topics:
- Supporting People funding and the removal of ring fencing;
- The barriers created by the 16 hour rule;
- The challenges in accessing move-on accommodation.
The event aims to raise awareness with decision makers by giving residents and staff the opportunity to speak to MP's directly about their personal experiences and how legislation and policies impact on individuals and groups.
As part of this event SAHA invites all its partners and stakeholders to submit comments and suggestions that they feel would add to the presentations made on the day.
If you would like to provide comments and suggestions please contact haveyoursay@saha.org.uk and for more information regarding the event please contact Hayley Cornforth on 0845 970 6363.
