Residents Conference – The Big Aspirations
SAHA held its second annual Residents Conference in Camden, London on 26 June. Residents and service users from all types of SAHA homes and services from across the country came together to tells us their aspirations for their homes, their communities and their landlords. Â
This feedback will be used to develop a new business plan so we can work to ensure that the homes and services that we provide are meeting the expectations of our customers. Â
Some of the 'Big Aspirations' that numerous residents and service users made clear where:Â
Home:
- Needs to be inviting
- More input for residents in appearance of homes
- Efficient and controllable heating systemsÂ
Community:
- Safe & secure communities with mutual respect
- Activities that bring communities together, shared goals
- Employment opportunities being availableÂ
Landlord:
- Communication -making sure it has the personal touch
- Communication - being kept informed about repairs
- Increased support for those moving on from supported housingÂ
A very big thank you goes out to all residents that came along for the day; we truly value your contributions and feedback. A more comprehensive report of the feedback received and details of how we will be working to meet these and other aspirations will be available shortly.Â
