SAHA Asset Management have recently been notified by the HCA that our bid for grant funding for future affordable housing development has been successful. This is a real achievement for SAHA since there is a lot less grant available for the coming years 2011-15 and the bidding process was therefore extremely competitive. It is really great news that SAHA is to continue to be a developing housing association.

We have been allocated almost half a million pounds to build 22 new affordable rented homes on the current site of Tom Raine Court. Importantly, we are also now in a strong position to bid for further grant during the next 4 years when other possible development schemes arise.

Asset Management would like to thank all members of staff who helped contribute towards this successful bid. We are continuing to negotiate with the HCA on possible further grant under the Homelessness Change Programme, to enable SAHA to carry out improvements to a number of Lifehouses. Hopefully, there will be more good news to come.
